finding: circle skirts & the Whistles AW13 preview
So the Whistles autumn/winter 2013 tease has begun. It landed in my inbox this morning and this was its opening shot:
Lovely. And you know I clicked-through in search of those trousers. Alas - they were not to be found. But as you do on the 'new in' page, I browsed the rest of the AW13. And I found this:
Yes, that is a navy (p)leather circle skirt. And I love it. And it's also not on the site. Well technically the skirt is, but only in black. See what I mean about the 'tease'?
The plus-side to all of this: I have discovered that I have a 'thing' for leather circle skirts; I don't know why. And it's likely to pass. But I saw this brown leather Urban Code skirt on asos a couple of years ago and still kick myself:
To appease myself for this loss, I purchased this last spring:
A jersey and leather dress, also found at asos. And it travelled well, crammed into the carry-on for the recent trip abroad. Who new leather could travel? (Silly question.) Who knew jersey and leather could look so cute? (Another silly question.) And who knew that circle skirts weren't just for women of a certain age? (Agreed; that's ridiculous.)
But I'll confess: I've had gander at my pinterest boards - and perhaps I have a thing for circle skirts in general because I'm noticing a trend:
I guess I'll continue to pin them. And await the full release from Whistles in the meantime.
